Time to stand up for the British

Today I've just heard on the UK news "Members of our Armed Forces have been told that they should go out in Civillian Clothes rather than their uniforms because its upsetting certain sections of the public". I don't care in you are for or against the various Wars but any protests should be directed towards the government not the lads & lasses who put their lives on the line.

Anyway I thought I'd post a tribute to our troops I found on Youtube, please watch and if anyone is offended I don't care :-

I have to say I agree with all of your post, except I'd change the British part to English. Th English have been ground into the dirt byt this government. The Welsh and Scots have their own parliaments, but they can have a say in ours. If my daughters lived in Scotland they wouldn't leave university up to their eyes in debt. If I lived in Wales I wouldn't have to pay for the tablets I have to take every day.
But it is a fact that we live in a very small country, and we have enough people in it already!
End of rant.

Ah, I think you've edited your post as I answered lol. That's why it doesn't make sense. lol.
I unreservedly support our troops. It's the bloody idiots in Westminster that never mucky their hands, that send them on these stupid expeditions!

Airliebird,
Yeh I did edit it I apologise for that I maybe should have left it, the first version was much stronger but I thought maybe moved it away from the issue of our troops been asked not to wear uniforms, which was to point I was making. If people disagree with where our troops are said their argument is with polititions not the brave people wearing the uniform.
Saying that reading your first comment it is spot on we are fast becoming the poor relations of our nation.

With DEEP DISH PIZZA and only 1.4 gained. I indeed am impressed and wishing I could lose 20 before the wedding.

What are your thoughts on Royalty over there defending England?

i'm with you all the way Mick, it's outrageous.

i have fond memories of being in my uniform here in Oz, in particular on Anzac Day and having strangers insist on buying me drinks etc, it's the way it should be. these people are fighting for YOU! i was livid when i read about it in the UK Daily!

hope you're well, great job on the minimal holiday damage to the waste line. well done!
