Just thought I'd let you know I've decided to treat myself to a Laptop computor. I've never had one always a desktop for me and this one is old and slow.
Went to PC World and had a look at a few last week but didn't make my mind up until the weekend which I wanted.
Anyway I've now made my mind up so have ordered online, its supposed to arrive within 5 working days so I'm sort of excited.
Only trouble is I've only got dial up broadband so I'll have to get that changed to wireless. Not really a problem because I'm planning on changing my Internet provider anyway.
Probably wont see the new laptop until next week as I'm away from Wednesday, playing TT down south at the weekend and staying over Friday & Saturday night in Swindon. I'm actually off a couple of days earlier to go to Winchester to see Janes parents and take some flowers to where they laid the ashes.

The problem with diets
I know a lot of us on here are trying to lose a bit of weight using various diet methods. In the past we've all had the yo-yo problems, keeping up the diet for so long, losing a bit of weight only to weaken and put it on again.
I was interested to read one of my friends Regina commented on my last post about my Black Jeans saying how certain foods can give her stomach pains.
Well I have a secondary problem in that I'm suspect to Gout if I get my diet wrong. I'm sure you all know what gout is but just in case I'll tell you. Its a inflammation in various joints caused by a build up of crystals, this in turn is caused by the Uric acid in your blood getting too high. Some people are much more prone to it than others. In laymans turns "Its bloody Painfull".
Anyway why is it a problem for dieting, its only associated by certain foods.
Well actually although certain foods can cause an unbalance in your blood they are not the only cause.
I have 3 other causes that effect my blood count and can cause severe Gout attacks.
1. If my weight goes up much higher than it is now I'm prone to attacks. So of course losing weight is good, the more overweight the more chance of gout attacks.
2. Dehydration is another problem, I've got to make sure my water intake is high but this is also good for diet. Sometimes its a problem if I play a lot of Sport and don't drink enough.
3. But the bad news is if I lose weight too quickly again a bl0od imbalance occurs resulting in a painful attack.
Now this week No3 as caused a bit of a problem with a Gout attack, So far I've managed to control it to a mild attack with the help of some anti-inflammetry tablets. I've also had to up my food intake slightly but don't get me wrong I'm still controlling what I eat.
In the past its been these gout attacks that have brought many weight loss plans to a halt but this time I'm trying really hard to win the battle.
I've cut out a lot sugar & some fatty things from my diet and taking on more fruit and Veg. Its going to be ongoing trying to find the perfect balance for me, but I am trying.

10 days and the Black Jeans
Well we are 10 days into the new year and I'm still sticking to my food intake plans. Not sure how much I've lost because my scales don't work.
Anyway what I can tell you is I reckon after Christmas I was at a heavy point. My evidence is I dug a old pair of black jeans out of the wardrobe and tried them on New Years Eve. I'd stopped wearing them some time ago because they were tight (must have shrunk in the wash, lol).
The bad news is NYE I couldn't fasten them, well not and breath at the same time. This actually provided me with incentive so I'm sticking to my plan.
So 10 days since NYE I've just tried the jeans on again and I can actually now fasten them and actually breath. Not sure yet they are comfy enough to actually go out in but I'm hoping to get there before the end of the month.
I actually like these jeans and I'm away at the end of January so I'm hoping they fit perfect by then, that'll be good.

Bloody Cold
Well I'm ready for things to warm up but it doesn't look very promising. Apparently tonight is going to be the coldest night of the winter so far. This is the most snow I've seen for a lot of years (apparently worst since 1979), the roads are almost unusable and the councils are running out of grit. The country is shutting down.
I've lived where I do now about 10 years and first time I've seen icicles hanging from the gutters like they are now, some are massive.
Now I'm confused about Global Warming cos it feels like we are in the artic circle.

Yeeeeeees King Larry slays Sir Red Nose
Of course when my little 3rd tier team travelled over the hills to face the self proclaimed World biggest Club who are 43 places above on at their famous Old Trashford there could only be one result, hell even the bookies were giving us 7-1.
On paper we had no chance but this was the "War of the Roses" and it was King Larry leading his White Rose army backed by 9,000 travelling fans that won the day. Yes Sir Red Nose was slayed by the new King of Yorkshire in his own back yard.
Manchester United "0" Leeds United "1"
Hell I'm happy, now off for another dance around the living room.
