I'm still finding it hard to believe my new lady friend, can't believe my luck to be honest and just can't see what she sees in me. In fact I'm totally dizzy everthing is happening so quick and my brain can't concentrate.
She came along to my match on thursday and I did stay over which all went great, we also had lunch out on wednesday before saying our goodbyes. We are both missing been together, texting all the time, its gonna be a long weekend but I can catch up with a few jobs which desperatly need doing.
However we'll hook up again Monday morning, shes coming to Selby, we have a big Bank holiday market so we'll spend the morning strolling around. Shes coming on the train but I'll be taking her home but we'll be having a nice lunch out first.
Next weekend I'm playing TT in the Vetts National league down south and I've altered the hotel bookings cos I've now a guest coming along.

Weigh in Wednesday - Forget consolidation
Hello I'm back from holiday and I've a few things to tell and photos to post but you'll have to wait for all that. I did have some bad news on holiday as my Mum had a bad fall and broke her leg, she is in hospital and I'm off to see her this afternoon.
A also know its thursday but in't have chance for a weigh in yesterday but I'm pleased that I only gained 1lb during the holiday, put that down to all the exercise.
Here are the facts :-
Start Weight (9th Nov) - 238lb
Weight last week - 213lb
Weight Today - 214lb
Gain/Loss this week - 1lb
Gain/Loss from start - -24lb
Todays Target - 215lb
+/- Target - -1lb
This week I've not dropped my target and did say in a previous post I was going to consolidate for 2 or 3 months but I've had a change of plan and reckon I'm gonna keep the 1lb per week loss target sliding down.
Think the reason is I had a big boost to my ego on holiday, met a young lady and we got on great and spent most of the week together and want to meet up again. It gets better she only lives in York and I was actually so shocked she was interested cos didn't think I'd have a chance with her. For one thing she is a bit younger and that concerned me but she just said age is a number and really seems to be genuine about that.
Suppose one of the thingst hat I like about her is the fact she say is upfront and doesn't try to be something shes not plus the physical attraction of course.
Reckon you'll want to know when we'll meet again ? Thats simple shes coming to watch my TT match tonight and did I mention she has invited me to stay over (it would be rude to say no wouldn't it, lol). Its been a long 24 hours since we said goodbye.
Haven't had time to read all your blogs but will try catch up over the weekend.

Weigh in Wednesday - A day early
Yes its tuesday I know but just setting off for my holidays so thought I'd better do my weigh in today. Its a 1lb loss to report so sort of happy cos I'm kept within my target.
Here are the facts :-
Start Weight (9th Nov) - 238lb
Weight last week - 214lb
Weight Today - 213lb
Gain/Loss this week - -1lbGain/Loss from start - -25lb
Todays Target - 215lb
+/- Target - -2lb
As I've mentioned previously I'm now planning to have a period of consolodation and just try to maintain this weight for a period. My reason is with two holidays less than 6 weeks apart it will be silly to expect to keep losing so my aim is to be still be 213lbs (or less) at the start of July then kick on again.
On a positive note at Pool last night two seperate people asked if I'd been losing weight, its always good when others notice, sort of gives you a boost.

Nearly ready
Finished all my gardening jobs this morning so now only have to pack and get myself ready for my trip tomorrow, maybe do it this afternoon but could leave it while the morning.
Had a busy weekend as I mentioned in my previous post, Golf was a bit mediocre on saturday but did good at the TT tournament Sunday, came 2nd in my section when I was rated to come 4th. It was good to beat 2 players ranked above me it will gain me some valuable points and move me up a few places on the national ranking list.
Also won my Pool match last night, lost the first frame but won 2-1, its in the Pub singles league and I'm top of the first division with 4 wins out of 4 so far. Tonight I'm playing for the team, we are away and it'll be a hard match.
To be honest I'm really ready for my holiday, got a few aching muscles with all the work and sporting acivities this week.

The Clock is ticking and I'm busy
Yes not long now before my Mallorca trip, actually go on tuesday to stay over at the airport and fly out early (6.30am) wednesday morning.
But I also seem to be running out of time to get a few jobs done that I've got planned in the garden and around he house.
Need to get my potato seeds planted and the lawn needs a cut plus a bit of weeding to do outside. Luckily tot my carrots planted the other day and trimmed the hedge plus had to felt the shed roof after the wind got the better of it. Want to paint a fence but that may have to wait.
Gave the house a spring clean this morning plus a few other jobs, really indoors not too much else to do apart from normal daily stuff. Still need to pack but that wont take too long (I'll only need warm weather stuff, lol).
Of course I've got to fit this round m social activities, playing Golf saturday afternoon then away in derbyshire playing a TT tournament all day sunday and when I get home sunday night I've to nip to the Pub to play a Pool singles match. I'll also be out Monday playing Pool as my team as a league match.
Still would rather be busy than sat around just waiting for tuesday to come.

Weigh in Wednesday - All about consolidation
A 1lb gain this week to report but to be honest I'm quite happy thats all because thisweek was all about consolidation. Last week I had been ill so reckon my weight was a false number probably lower than it should have been.
The important thing is I'm still inside my target (by 2lb) so thats good.
Here are the facts :-
Start Weight (9th Nov) - 238lb
Weight last week - 213lb
Weight Today - 214lb
Gain/Loss this week - +1lb
Gain/Loss from start - -24lb
Todays Target - 216lb
+/- Target - -2lb
One more week of weight loss to my holiday then it will really be about consolidation, don't want to blow the hard work. I'm also away in June so reckon I'm going to freeze my target for a couple of months before kicking on again, think thats the sensible approach. The important thing is not to gain.

Just read my friend Sandii's blog and am impressed her hubby as just treated her to a nw Bike to help with her fitness campaign.

My acting career starts here
Back in 1968 Andy Warhol made the famous saying "In the future, everyone will be world-famous for 15 minutes."
Well maybe my moment of fame may be about to start.
Got a email from the Singles company I went on holiday with a couple of times last year and am going with again this year. The want me to audition for a part in a promotion video to promote their holidays, looks like I've to go to a studio in London for the filming but its all expenses paid so have agreed, reckon it'll be a laugh and a day out even if not used in the final production.
They also want to do a article on me as to why I enjoy their holidays that will go in their brochure.
And if I'm used I get a £500 voucher to use on a holiday of my choice.
I've got back to them saying I'll do it so now its about waiting for further information.

I'm a Endomorph
Was thinking about my body shape and why some of us are more prone to been overweight than others. One thing about myself is that I have "heavy legs" (big thighs) and always reckon its a disadvantage against the skinny legged type.
Not making excuses just wondered about different body shapes so did a internet search on "Male Body Types" and found this article :-
Of course you can have bits of each type in you depending on genetics it goes on to explain but reckon I'm definately a Endomorph.
There are three different body type classifications:
Endomorphs: Endomorphs tend to have bigger bones that the other body types. These men and women usually have round faces with larger thighs and hips. Endomorphs have arms and legs that tend to be short and tapering, giving them a stocky appearance.
Most endomorphs have comparatively small hands and feet and a high waist. Additionally, endomorphs have higher levels of body fat than the other body types, but they can also build muscle and lean mass easily. Weight loss is most difficult for the endomorph body type.
Mesomorphs: Mesomorphs are usually described as having an athletic build. They often have an hourglass or ruler shape, and gain muscle mass easily.
The majority of mesomorphs have broad shoulders and a narrow waist. They have a fast metabolism and can lose weight more easily than endomorphs.
Ectomorphs: Ectomorphs have a thin, linear appearance. Most ectomorphs look like rulers, with narrow waists, hips, and shoulders. Ectomorphs can lose weight easily and tend to have low levels of body fat. However, they also have a harder time gaining lean muscle mass.
So I thought I'd investigate further and came across this :-
The Plight of The Endomorph
Most people who are training hard but still struggling to lose body fat have an endomorph body type. An endomorph is someone who is genetically prone to store fat easily due to a slow metabolism. Endomorph body types are usually, but not always, large-framed with medium to large joints. If you're an endomorph and you mess up on your diet, the surplus calories are almost certain to go to fat. Even when you're in a caloric deficit, it seems like the fat goes down at a painfully slow rate.
Of all the three body types, the endomoph body type may seem the least desirable one to have if your goal is fat loss. It's frustrating sometimes. No matter what you do, it seems like you're at a disadvantage.
While there are genetically-influenced disadvantages to having the endomorph body type, the good news is that even if you're an endomorph you can burn fat and get as lean as you want to be. An endomorph body type is not "bad." There are no good or bad body types. Is your eye color good or bad? No, it simply is what it is. It's what you inherited.
There are countless examples of endomorphs who were once overweight or obese and who went on to become super lean. What they did was to simply understand their body type and adjust their nutrition and training accordingly. They understood that they couldn't copy someone else's diet and expect the same results unless that other person had the same type of body.
No wonder this weight loss is tough but as they say not impossible just hard work.

Weigh in Wednesday - A 2lb loss but is it a bit false
Another loss to report this week but to be fair it maybe a touch misleading because I've been ill, think maybe my body fluids could be low. Fit and well (somewhat) now so think we'll get a more genuine weigh in next week.
Saying that I'm 4lbs inside my target so I do have a little to play with.
On a positive note I'm ust under two weeks away from my holiday and only 3lb away from losing 2 stone, now reckon if I could get there it would be great. That would put me at 15stone (still too heavy I know) and I reckon its many years ago (20 years +) since I was down at that weight so a big achievement.
Been thinking about where I want to end up with this weight loss and sort of come up with the idea of 13 stone so reckon I'm getting close to half time. I am open minded and will just see how it goes and adjust my targets according to how I'm feeling.
Here are the facts :-
Start Weight (9th Nov) - 238lb
Weight last week - 215lb
Weight Today - 213lb
Gain/Loss this week - -2lb
Gain/Loss from start - -25lb
Todays Target - 217lb
+/- Target - -4lb

Not much fun
First I'm pleased to report I was successful in retaining my Mens Singles, Veterans and handicap at this years local table tennis championships but it wasn't much fun.
Saturday I got a stomach bug and spent most of the night sat on the toilet was also sick a couple of times, did think about pulling out of the competition but decided to take some anti-diarrhea tablets and give it a go. It was a long day I'll admit, didn't eat all competition just drank water but still managed to get the right result in the end.
I'm still a bit queezy but eating ok, sort of getting appetite back, think whatever bug I'd caught I somewhat sweated it out.
On another note since I've lost a few pounds I've noticed how much my fitness levels have improved, certainly I'm feeling much quicker around court and usually I ache for a couple of days after all day tournaments today my muscles are fine no stiffness at all. Another thing always go knee pain (soreness) after playing a lot on hard sports hall floors but my knees are just great. I actually feel with just losing a stone and half I've turned the clock back 10 years plus with my playing standard, just wondering what another couple of stone off will do for me.

Busy sporting weekend
Got a busy weekend coming up with Golf on Saturday and Table Tennis on Sunday.
Golf is in the Clubs Monthly Medal competition and I'm teeing off at 12.45pm, looking foward to it but a little apprehensive about how I'll do. Its only my 3rd round of the year so my game is a bit erratic at the moment but hopfully my competitive nature will help me to a decent score.
Sunday is the area table tennis championships and I'm feeling confident about retaining my Mens and Veterans titles as I've been in good form recently but we'll see. Really want to win the mens as it'll be the 10th time I've been town champion. First time I won it was back in 1984 which seems a long time ago but its good to have your name in the record books forever.
